D3i is The Ostend Baltimore concert venue design architect and planner. The project was formerly known as The Paramount Baltimore.
The Ostend Baltimore will be a 70,000 sq. ft. world-class live music and event venue between M&T Bank Stadium and Horseshoe Casino. Our challenge in designing the Ostend Baltimore was to take the distinctive Paramount brand from NY with significant history and recreate it in new surroundings in Baltimore.
The new venue is designed for concerts, performances, sporting events, and corporate banquet events, with an emphasis on an extraordinary user experience for the VIP, the guest, the artist and for the crew.
Inside, features a broad mainstage with shallow orchestra seating that accommodates a standing room for 3,400 patrons and optional chair seating for 2,600 patrons, no viewer will ever be more than 115 feet away from the stage. Artist- and crew-friendly touches include private and direct crew access to the backstage loading dock; large state-of-the-art green rooms close to the stage, with separate and numerous dressing rooms; and chic lounges with kitchen and entertainment areas.
A unique outdoor festival space uses the space under the elevated I-395 thoroughfare, includes stages, firepits, bars, seating, and restrooms. This space can be used for music festivals, opening acts, sports tailgating, corporate functions, and other outdoor attractions.
